Hi there,
My name is Johanna and I am excited that you are reading this letter. Your decision to consider open adoption is a very difficult, but loving one. I admire your courage and hope this letter helps you see that showing a child all that this world has to offer is part of my dreams.

Parenting:  I was raised in a wonderful, caring single parent home. My mom provided a great role model for my brother and I. Growing up we had the opportunity to participate in all sorts of activities like playing sports and learning musical instruments. Besides love, my mother always said that a child needed 2 things to succeed: Roots and Wings. Roots, to know where we came from, and wings, to stretch out and fly. I eagerly look

forward to continuing this tradition by teaching my child all about his/her relatives that came to the United States from Ireland and Australia. In addition open adoption will provide the opportunity to learn about history of his/her birth family. My child’s roots will come from a loving and nurturing home. My child will grow his/her wings through education and travel. This will give him/her the opportunity to stretch out those wings and soar! I think about all of the daily experiences I can share with my child. Baking chocolate chip cookies on a rainy day and snuggling with a storybook in front of a fire are two of the simple pleasures we can have. I plan to be a mother who helps in the classroom and is the loudest cheerleader at the baseball field or music recital.

Thank you for taking your valuable time to read this letter. The decision you are considering is not an easy one. I look forward to hearing from you and having the opportunity to learn more about you and the dreams you have for your child. Please call anytime toll free at 1-888-277-7547 PIN #1665.
